My attorney office replied back to My I485 query yesterday in the overnight post(today is the last day to respond). For the marriage proof, i attached the marriage certificate which has my incorrect date of birth. I attached the affidavit describing that there is the entry error in the marriage certificate and applied for the correction and as in process with "Registrar of Marriage" office in India. In the meantime, i received the corrected marriage certificate today with the scanned copy. My question is, Can i send my corrected marriage certificate document today to USCIS ? Will they accept with one day delay?

I do not see any EB3 alone approvals (with no porting). Can people please update here if there are any EB3 485 Approvals so that we can get some pattern out of it.

This is really a contentious issue both in the pro and anti immigration communities and it is surprising that it has taken this long for one of the major advocacy groups to raise the issue publicly. . But if comprehensive reform fails this year, it will be the third failure since the comprehensive movement began in 2004 and it could mean waiting until 2011 or even after the next presidential election...

I am in the US now. Can I change to F1 visa in August and get the new F1 stamping or the approved transfer as you said, when I visit my home country later some ?

My understanding is that F1 visa status is maintained by I-20 and corresponding I-94 (which would usually say D/S and therefore would be valid as long as your I-20 and student-in-good-standing status are valid), for which you need to go outside US and reenter.

If the foreign financial institution (for example bank) are not reporting to IRS about our (US resident) bank account etc. Do we need to close our bank account in foreign country.
