Madonna "Sticky & Sweet Tour" Part 2!


Madonna's fans will be delighted to hear that the pop queen isn't done with her "Sticky & Sweet" tour yet. The tour was so successful last year, that she decided to continue touring this year in numerous venues accross Europe.

This time, special guest Paul Oakenfold will be opening all shows.

Madonna on the extended tour: "This is a first for me. I've never extended a tour before. I'm excited to be going back on the road, visiting places I've never been and returning to places I love".

According to Madge Tribe, in 2008 the "Sticky & Sweet Tour" was seen by 2,350,285 fans in 58 cities. With record breaking ticket sales everywhere, including 650,000 tickets sold in her series of South American dates, 72,000 tickets at Zurich's Dübendorf Airfield - the largest audience ever assembled for a show in Switzerland, 75,000 tickets in London and four sell outs in New York's Madison Square Garden (60,364 tickets).

Madonna's "Sticky & Sweet" Tour - Top Selling Concert of 2008


Madonna's "Sticky & Sweet" tour leads at number one on top 10 highest-grossing tour of 2008 in North America. Kicked off in August and wrapped up in November, the Live Nation-produced roadshow garnered $105.3 million in North America and more than $208 million worldwide!

Arthur Fogel, Live Nation's Chairman of Global Music and CEO of Global Touring, says that the tour's success has put Madonna as "one of the top selling touring artists of all time." He explains, "Not only will this tour be the top selling tour of all time for a solo artist and a female artist (eclipsing her own record), but it will position her as one of the top selling touring artists of all time."

Eagles - $73.4 million

Madonna - "Miles Away" Worst Single in 20 Years!


It's official, "Miles Away" is Madonna's worst UK released single in 20 years! The song entered the UK singles chart at Number 39 on November 30th, selling 5,643 copies.

The following week it fell to Number 68, before dropping out of the chart altogether last Sunday.

While "Miles Away" from Madonna's latest album "Hard Candy" hasn't been successful, "4 Minutes", which came from the same album was number one on the charts this year.

Madonna - Louis Vuitton's New Face


Madonna will appear in the Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaign of Louis Vuitton. The campaing will hit magazines in February. The star is shot by legendary photographer Steven Meisel, in a sultry French cafe setting. When it came to choosing the new face, designer Marc Jacobs wouldn't have it any other way. "I wanted the campaign to be very bold, very sensual and very atmospheric. To carry off all these references and all its sophistication, we needed the ultimate performer -- and for me, that is Madonna," says Jacobs.

Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake kept their distance at L.A.’s Dodger Stadium last night as they joined Madonna on stage, separately, to perform “Human Nature” and “4 Minutes,” respectively, during the Material Girl’s latest stop on the Sticky & Sweet Tour.
