What are the Best Super Bowl Halftime Performances?

In my opinion Prince did the best Super Bowl Halftime performance ever. Who else can perform like THAT in the pouring rain?! Here are the songs which Prince performed “We Will Rock You,” “Let’s Go Crazy,” “1999,” "Baby I’m a Star," "Proud Mary," "All Along the Watchtower," "Best of You," "Purple Rain.” He truly showed what a musical genius can do! Check out what my other top 9 performances of the Super Bowl halftime are below.

My Top 10 Best Super Bowl Halftime Performances:

1. Prince
2. Michael Jackson
3. U2
4. Diana Ross
5. The Rolling Stones
6. Bruce Springsteen
7. Janet Jackson
8. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
9. No Doubt, Sting, Shania Twain
10. Aerosmith

What's your top 10 and where do you think the Black Eyed Peas will be placed?

Who do you think is going to win the XLV Super Bowl? The Green Bay Pakers or the Pittsburgh Steelers? I'm leaning towards the Green Bay Pakers.

Bono and Jarvis Cocker - Big Winners of Sony Radio Academy Awards

Bono Jarvis Cocker

Bono and Jarvis Cocker were the winners at the annual Sony Radio Academy Awards hosted yesterday from London. The event honored the best of British radio talent, Jarvis picked up the ceremony’s Rising Star prize and Bono was awarded with the trophy for Best Music Special. Bono received the trophy for his one-off broadcast celebrating the music of Elvis Presley.

Jarvis Cocker recently began hosting a show on BBC 6 Music, and hopes that his win will influence BBC executives to save the station. Jarvis Cocker on the radio station: "6 Music is never going to be the biggest station in the U.K. but it would be devastating if it was to close. 6 Music isn't going to change the world - it just wants to make it a bit nicer."

New U2 Album - "No Line On The Horizon"

U2 have revealed that their next album will be titled "No Line On The Horizon". Their 12 album will be released on March 3rd. Their new album was supposed to drop at the end of this year, however due to the firing of producer Rick Rubin, it has taken U2 longer to complete the last songs of "No Line On The Horizon".

"I met with the guys in U2, and they say to me, 'You know what? This album needs two more songs, and it will be exactly what we have in mind.' I go there and I listen, and I agreed with them," Interscope-Geffen-A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine told Billboard last month. "It's a great record, but it deserves the time. Labels need to work with artists to help them achieve their best work, not to jam records out that are half-baked or three-quarters baked."

Here are Bonos' comments on the new album:

"I'm always the one who underestimates how easy it is to simply 'put out the songs now.' If it was just up to me they'd be out already! But early next year people will be able to start hearing what we've been doing. We want 2009 to be our year, so we're going to start making an impression very early on."

The tracking list hasn't been announced yet.

New U2 Video + Bono "Man of Peace"

U2 has filmed a video for the first single from its upcoming new album. The band was in London last week to shoot the clip and said: "We are sworn to secrecy on the finer details of the shoot... but there may have been some marching girls involved. With their boots on." The last sentence could be a hint about the song's title, which is rumored to be "Sexy Boots." The new U2 record, tentatively called "No Line on the Horizon", is due out sometime in the first half of 2009.

Besides news on the new album, Bono was given the annual "Man of Peace" award by a gathering of Nobel Prize winners on Friday (December 12th) in Paris. Bono was bestowed with the award for his continuing efforts to battle debt, poverty and disease in Africa. Bono said at the ceremony, "This is a very big award for me, because let's be honest, this is as close as I am going to get -- as close as a rock star is ever going to get to the Nobel Peace Prize."

"I am an over-awarded, over-rewarded rock star. You are the people who do the real work."

U2 - Lands Shares With Live Nation

U2 is about to cash in on an amazing deal! They have landed 1.56 million shares from their concert promoters Live Nation.

The move is worth over $18 million, and comes seven months after U2 announced a 12year deal with Live Nation, handing over merchandising, branding, touring and other rights to the concert promoter.

The value of the shares is estimated at 2.1 per cent, according to filings made with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

U2 is one of five artists that Live Nation has signed in the last year - Jay-Z and Madonna have also received shares.

Live Nation's most recent additions, Shakira and Nickelback, have missed out on the share hand out.
