You can get a licence valid upto 6 moinths from the date of H1 receipt notice. You can go to Wayne Rt 23 MVC. I got it myself last year from there.

So what if DOL doesn't respond before the H1 expires..Can the Employer file for H1 Extension without an approved LCA ??

The employer needs to submit proof of the EIN to DOL, wait for DOL to confirm, then file a new LCA. DOL will tell the employer what EIN evidence it needs to present.

You can fillup forms online before wedding date but appointment date should fall after your wedding date.

Hello guys,
I am sending my family based I-485 on May 1. currently i am on h1b . My h1b approval (I-797A) is valid till April 15, 2009. my h1b extension is already pending with USCIS. My Question is :::----

Is there gonna be any problem with USCIS since my h1b approval already expired?? what will be my status after i filled my I-485?? Can i legally stay in US after filing family based I-485 even my h1b extension get denied.???

Does any one in the forum (or their spouse) work for the state of california?

Are H1B or EAD holder eligible for applying for full time postitions with the state?

How about after getting the green cards? Are permanent residents eligible? OR are these positions only for US citizens?

I recently took the state exam for Systems software specialist series and when filling up the online forms etc, there was no question asked anywhere about citizenship or permanent resident only.

So if any of you have experience in this area, could you please clarify?

A# wont start with EAC..

Read above post, It is a number starting with A and looks like A099 XXX XXX usually found on I140. I dont think this number is alloted anytime before an immigrant petition is filed.


MRSR question for you. My sons/wifes I94# is different based on actual I94 (last entry) and H4 approval notices (done after entry). Mine remained same. Dilemma which number should i use in their forms.

My friend with july-07 filer (I-140 approved in Jan-07) lost H1 in Mar-08 and work on EAD and his company move to new address in May-09. USCIS site visit on Aug-09 to old address for H1-b (one year ext) for his co-worker. His co-worker got letter form USCIS to submit documents in Dec-09 for existance of the Company. Company inform everyone in Nov-09 that it is going out of business and shutting down operation in Dec-09.

What are the options my friend and his co-worker with (LC/I-140 approved form another company) have??
